Boucher & James is commited to making a difference in the communities in which we live, work, and play. Boucher & James instituded a Making a Difference initiative for all of its employees. The results have been countless hours of community service, involvement in community groups, service organizations, boards, commissions, etc. Below is a small sample of Boucher & James truly making a difference.

Boucher & James, Inc. Major Community Donor

Central Bucks Family YMCA works hard to meet the needs of an expanding population and create innovative programs and facilities that bring today's families together in recreation, sports, and wellness.  In order to accomplish this, they embarked on Phase 1 of their expansion project which consisted of increasing the size of their facility by about 60% — from 36,300 square feet to 57,540 square feet.  Boucher & James helped make Phase 1 of the YMCA expansion a reality.  Not only did they provide engineering & surveying services but, they also were the donor that allowed the YMCA to expand, renovate and update their entire cardio fitness and fitness area.  A plaque is proudly hung in a prominent location of the cardio fitness and fitness area for their major donation.   Boucher & James contributions exemplify its commitment to Making a Difference in the community in which we live, work and play.

Boucher & James, Inc. coordinates World Wide Day of Play

Boucher & James employees volunteered for the annual World Wide Day of Play.  The event was held at Central Park in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and focused on getting kids out of the house, off the couch and away from the television and video games.  The event was setup with different areas that the kids could exercise, play and learn, and Judy Stern Goldstein, an Event Coordinator, commented on the marvelous event turnout.  Boucher & James volunteering helped Make a Difference but the true difference was seeing the smiling faces on all the kids that had a fun filled, enjoyable, active and educational day.

Boucher & James, Inc. partners with the Pennsylvania National Guard

Boucher & James participates in the “Chief’s Hat Program” with the Pennsylvania’s Air National Guard Chief Master Sergeant’s Council.  The program has been put into place to collect new, age and content appropriate hats for children with cancer.  Hats are collected throughout the year and delivered by the Air National Guard to Children’s Hospital Cancer Ward.  The effects of the treatment often cause hair loss; which can be a traumatic change for a child.  The hats provide a sense of normalcy to children that are being treated for cancer and are well received by the patients.  Boucher & James provides collection points for the hats at their Doylestown, Morgantown, and Stroudsburg Offices.  Through Boucher & James and the Pennsylvania National Guard efforts they provide thousands of hats to the Children’s Hospital.  Tech. Sergeant Kevin Kochanski gave the orders and Boucher & James helped Make a Difference for the cancer patients at the Children’s Hospital.
